Every year Sidmouth is host to its World Famous International folk festival where song and dance literally take over the town for a week. It is a magical and mystical experience for all ages. The ever popular festival is so entertaining that most visitors book well in advance for the event.

Lifeboat

Sidmouth's beaches are considered to be safe but like all coastal towns common sense should prevail. The towns coast and neighbouring villages are covered by Sidmouth inshore Rescue service, who are an independent lifeboat service working in conjunction with the H.M. Coastguard Agency. Manned by volunteers and are on a 24 hour callout system. If you need advice where to go or the state of the tides or anything to to do with the local fishing the crews would only be too pleased to help you.
